Move ur car with ADR

Non-runner car transport

A car that does not drive can still be moved. As long as the wheels roll and it steers, it can be winched onto the transporter and taken to a garage, a workshop, a buyer or your home.

Rolls and steers? It can go

That is the one thing David needs to know. A car with a dead engine, a failed MOT, a flat battery that will not hold, or a fault you have not got to the bottom of can all be winched onto the transporter if the wheels turn and the steering works. Not sure about yours? Send David a photo first.

Classics and project cars

Plenty of non-runners are not broken down at all, just laid up: a classic waiting for restoration, a project bought from someone who ran out of time for it, a 4x4 that has sat in a barn. Harvey's Series Land Rover went onto the trailer in reverse because the engine sits in the back, and David's reply mentions difficult loading conditions. In Harvey's words, the whole process was smooth, professional, and hassle-free.

When you cannot be there

Shadison needed a car moved while at work. David collected the keys, took photos of the vehicle before and after the move, and rang ahead to fill in what was missing from the request. If the car is somewhere you cannot easily get to, tell David when you book.

Where it can go

To a garage or bodyshop in Coventry, to a specialist across the Midlands, or to a new owner anywhere in the UK, including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Cars, 4x4s and light vans from 1.0 to 2.7 tonnes, covered by comprehensive insurance while loaded and transported.

I was assisted by David! Exceptional gentleman! He rang me in advance to finalise missing information I did not mention within my request. David went out of his way to inform himself of my circumstances and the reason behind my request for a towing service.

I was unable to attend as I working. David went the extra mile (literally) to collect my car keys, and to reassure me of his service he took photos of the vehicle before and after it was towed to the location.

Overall, I was extremely happy with his professionalism! I would highly recommend his services!

Thank you, David! Speak soon!

Excellent service from start to finish. The whole process was smooth, professional, and hassle-free. Communication was clear throughout, David arrived exactly when he said he would, and everything was handled quickly and efficiently. David was friendly and courteous, making the experience even better. I couldn't have asked for a better service and would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a reliable vehicle collection. Thank you David. 👍

Thank you for your kind words Harvey , it was an interesting Job. For anybody reading the Landy was on in reverse as the engine was in the rear compartment coupled with difficult geographical loading conditions.

FAQ

Non-runner transport questions

Anything else, ask David.

Can you move a car that doesn't start?

Yes, as long as the wheels roll and it steers, so it can be winched safely onto the transporter.

What if the wheels are seized or the steering is locked?

Tell David before the day and send photos. It may still be possible, but he needs to know so he can plan the job.

Can you move a classic that has been laid up for years?

If it rolls and steers, yes. Send David photos so he can check.
